“Red, White & Blues” Week
Pensacola Beach kicks off a week-long celebration with a stunning soundside fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. on the Fourth, culminating in the Blue Angels Air Show the following weekend. In between, there’s the Tuesday night summer concert series, Bands on the Beach, as well as the Summer Sidewalk Star Gaze, both at the Gulfside Pavilion. Sertoma’s 4th of July Fireworks: The Largest on the Coast
If you decide to set up your lawn chair on Pensacola Bay, you’re in for a treat as local Sertoma (SERvice TO MAnkind) organizations host the largest fireworks display along the Gulf Coast. From 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., enjoy family-friendly activities such as the Children’s Area, arts and crafts vendors, food and entertainment – including a noon Hot Dog Eating Contest. Live music begins on the Bayfront stage at 4 p.m., culminating in the 9 p.m. grand fireworks show set to music from local radio station Cat Country 98.7. These folks really know how to light up the sky!
Annual Pensacola International Billfish Tournament
Held every Fourth of July weekend at Plaza de Luna, this tournament earns the winner an invitation to fish the Offshore World Championship.
